Perimeter entrances of higher education academic buildings are typically high-traffic openings that must balance the need for access control and lockdown with accessibility and freedom of movement. Unlike K-12 schools, these buildings often feature unrestricted access, making these entrances more susceptible for above average use.

ADA Compliant Openings

They meet the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and ANSI A117.1 requirements for accessibility and open doors at the appropriate speed to allow free, easy passage without waiting.
